Run it

  1. Open the folder you downloaded to, click the address bar, type cmd and press enter. Then: 
    tar -xf skyrim-together-all-in-one.tar.zst
  2. Open the new skyrim-together-all-in-one folder and run Data\SkyrimTogetherReborn\SkyrimTogether.exe — not SkyrimSE.exe.
  3. Connect using the details below.

That's the whole install. The mod is already in place and Creation Club content is already stripped, so there is nothing to configure.

Type the IP, not a hostname — connecting by domain name triggers a known FPS bug.

Two rules that matter

  1. One party leader for the whole playthrough. Only they talk to quest NPCs and loot quest items, and they go through doors first. Swapping leaders breaks quests you're already on.
  2. You can't sleep or wait while connected — the clock is locked by the server.

Quicksave often. Seeing slightly different creatures or loot than each other is a known bug, not something you've set up wrong.
